My husband and I were looking for a portable gas grill for taking with us on camping trips and days out at the beach. I really love to cook and prefer to be able to cook when I go for day trips rather than taking a boring packed lunch with me. I had done my research regarding most of the portable gas grills available and felt that the Coleman Road Trip sounded like the one that would suit our needs. I visited the store to check it out and have to say I wasn’t disappointed with what I saw. It was so easy to set up and take back down again plus it had two burners which would give extra cooking power.
When we got home with our grill I was itching to try it out so I opened the package expecting to have to get my husband to start assembling it. So I couldn’t believe our luck when the grill was almost fully assembled as soon as we got it out. All he had to do was put the handle and the regulator in place and attach the wheels.
Once everything was in place it was time to get cooking. I lit the grill and then let it heat for about five to ten minutes before brushing the grill with vegetable oil. I placed two burgers on the grill and was so happy with how they cooked. Plus they tasted sensational. But now I had to clean the grill and this is the part I don’t like about outdoor cooking. However it did not take long for the grills to cool down and they actually fit in my sink so I soaked them for an hour or two in soapy water. When I went back to clean off the grills I was delighted to find that this was an easy task. They were clean again in no time at all.
So now every time I go camping I make sure the first thing in the car is my Coleman Road Trip portable gas grill.
